1.
Make Your Images In Advance.
Did
you know you can make your images days in advance? Just run the photo,
place it back in the bag, make sure it's sealed tight and store it in a
dark, cool location.
2. Check
the Paper Lever
If you
have black spots on your images, check the paper lever.
It should always be set to "Envelope" - edible paper is thick like an
envelope.
3. Ink
Supply
Keep
edible ink on hand. Our edible
inks have a one-year shelf life and should be kept on hand as backup.
Graduation is coming and you won't want to run out.
4.
Scanner Lid Safety
Never
place objects on top of the scanner, this can warp the lid, causing distortion.
Cleaning
and Maintenance Tips
1.
Daily Resume Cleans
Make
sure to do "resume cleans" on your printer every day.
This should extend the life of your print head and keep it primed and
ready to use.
2.
Weekly Printer Cleaning
Clean
your printer weekly. Use your
printer brush to keep all debris out of the inside and off the rolling pins.
If you need a new brush you can order one (BCC-BRUSH) with your next
regular order.
3.
Scanner Cleaning
Clean
your scanner glass and lid. Any
debris can cause your images to distort.
Use glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt.
4.
Prime the Print Heads
Make
sure when you change your edible ink tanks or install a new print head to do
3-5 resume cleans to get it primed and ink flowing.
